Confined read area – track precisely what you want and nothing else
The True NearField antennas have a highly focused RF field to avoid unwanted stray items which might otherwise confuse or clutter tracking data and reporting.
These are real NearField antennas ideal for strictly confined reading over a sharply defined area. Unlike other near-field antennas which are often far-field antennas with low gain.
Full surface read coverage – don’t miss a single item
Many RFID antennas have zones where tracked items are partially or totally unreadable, especially near the corners. True NearField antennas will read items absolutely anywhere on their surface – but don’t read items outside the edges or more than several centimetres above their surface.
To achieve the most highly defined read zone, near-field tags are recommended for tracked items.

A1115 NearField/Short Range UHF RFID Antenna
The compact A1115 antenna is part of the new True NearField Antenna Series.
Times-7 True NearField antennas are explicitly designed for applications which require “near zone only” tag detection or involve metals, liquids and other challenging materials. With hardly any far-field components and no surface dead spots, the Times-7 True NearField antennas provide reliable tag reads within a very constricted read zone.
Thanks to our unique antenna design, which scales easily in size, the True NearField antenna series offers three dimensions. For a larger surface, please go to the A1130 (300 x 300 mm) or A1163 (300 x 600 mm).

The A1163 is the largest antenna in the Times-7’s new True NearField Antenna Series as well as the largest NearField RFID antenna on the market with a surface of 300 x 600 mm at just 8.6 mm height.

A1001 NearField / Short Range UHF RFID Antenna
The A1001 is a small NearField short-range UHF antenna. The read distance is from 0 to 10cm.
Some applications require only near-zone tag detection. The A1001 is specifically designed for these applications. The A1001’s radiation intensity is highest at the antenna’s surface. ‘Tap and go’ type applications are possible with the A1001 antenna. In the A1001 near-field antenna, polarization is not applicable as it uses magnetic fields to communicate.
The antenna is polarization independent for a ‘NearField only’ tag. When a far-field tag is used with a near-field antenna at further distances from the antenna’s surface, then the far-field tag may be sensitive in one orientation compared to the other. A1030 NearField/Short Range UHF RFID Antenna
